I had some catalogues from this company back in the mid 70s. Does anyone know what happened to them? Did anyone purchse one of their scopes and if so how good were they? And last but not least, what did the b/c stand for? I'm just a bit curious.
Thanks to all,

I'm not familiar with them, but am fairly new at collecting telescopes.
According to their catalog they were the best.

They re branded many of the product they sold and it seems to me they must have made some Reflector telescopes but most of these were re-branded.I have seen one or two that looked like USA stuff, One Telescope that I worked 10 years ago was marked Optica BC on the mirror it was a 12.5 F6 in a fiber glass 15" OTA and was a very good mirror. I have run into a few items like solar wedges, filter and eyepieces with the Optica brand on them but mostly these were made by Towa or SYW or other Japanese Companies.
