So I bought a "Pacific Design" tripod bag for the Questar Tristand. I thought it was going to be padded; it wasn't. I can live with that but the real problem is it just doesn't fit. The bag is too small.

I'm wondering if anyone else has bought one of these and there is a trick I'm missing to make it fit.

Thanks, Bob

Bob,

Go to a local sporting goods store and look at the bags they use for equipment (like Bats).

Look for golf bag carriers, especially for airplane travel. Also you can try large keyboard bags, lots of room and padded.

I check Thrift shops regularly for books, and have found some great cases as well, including an SKB brand golf case, which has wheels and is excelent for many of the larger tripods. Sorry, I don't have a photo as ours is in storage, but you can google "SKB Cases" to view their products. :)
