Ball park- what year did Questar stop polishing the fork arms to a high sheen? The late 2000s seem to have a brushed look. The 82 I have has fork arms that are polished like the base.
Just wondering

I don't know what year it was, but I would prefer the brushed aluminum look, at least in the area where you read the Declination. In pictures that I have seen of the polished version, the reflected image of the Dec scale on the polished forks makes the Dec hard to read. On these scopes some people even put frosted semi-transparent tape around the Dec indicator to make it easier to read. In my book, if utility conflicts with appearance then I choose utility.
