While watching the Big Bang Theory, they had an 8SE on it. But the problem was it was mounted wrong. You could tell because the mounting knob was pointed up. :foreheadslap:

Oh I missed it! Someone else posted about this on another forum. They also said the tripod spreader was not installed and the HC looked like it was plugged into the wrong port. But hey, any press is good press...right? lol!

Yeah, I pointed out the problems with the setup. Atleast they got it together.

You would have thought that Celestron would have used as a consultant in the setup. Their office isn't that far from the studio.

I've seen that telescope in the background of the apartment in the past as set dressing. This was the first time I've seen it in use. I noticed the cord going into the port on the base, but figured maybe it was connected to a computer to send the coordinates rather than pick the object from the controller. It would be like Raj to have some special hack to tune tracking performance.

The biggest issue in my mind: they were observing through a closed window. Maybe Raj has REALLY good window glass.

A 102SLT is prominently visible in the background clutter in, I believe, Leonard and Sheldon's apartment in most episodes. Come on guys, show the SLT some love too!
