While waiting for narrowband targets to become available, I just pointed at Comet C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS and let it go for nearly four and a half hours last night.

Luminance – 130x120s binned 2x2

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) May 23rd, 2013 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.

flickr Video

Collected with Maxim, calibrated, registered, normalized and saved to jpegs with CCDStack. Avi created using PhotoLapse3. Title added using Adobe PhotoShop (there must be a better way).

Nice Dan!! I didn't realize where you lived. I went to high school in Florissant. I still miss Steak and Shake, ate at one in Vegas last week, and watch redbirds about 4 times a week.

That was enjoyable to watch. :waytogo:

Thank you for the work.

There is. If you have a video editor then that is one way (else you need to purchase it). The easiest way, free, is using the Microsoft MovieMaker. Add a title to your movie, change text colors, position, font, etc.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. This one is really putting on a show. With any luck I'll get to see it again without the moon.
