I was quoted in our state newspaper, I did try to bring light pollution as an issue.

Decent article, and glad you made the effort, but I strongly disagree with the notion that "most lighting is reasonable". The majority of exterior lighting in this state is unshielded, save for that used in newer malls and box stores; all those unshielded lights are most certainly an un-reasonable method of illumination, since reason would dictate against throwing away money to place light into the sky, where it is not needed.

No matter; the battle against light pollution in NJ was lost long ago. Nothing short of societal collapse will bring dark skies back to this swamp of a state again.
