I admit to having OCD tendency's, but looking over my new Denk II's I notice something odd. Looking at the aperture opening on the bottom on the bino,( I don't know if this is a prism or beam splitter)The glass does not completely fill the opening?

I have a unit with no powerswitch, but rather just a 2" nose piece. If I take off the nose piece, a see a 2mm gap on 2 sides, and the gap is not symmetrical but off center. It's the off center thing that I really find odd? With the nose-piece attached a still see a small gap about the width of thick paper on 2 sides. This even with the much smaller opening in that nose-piece. Since pics are better than words.

Nose piece removed:

Nose piece screwed in. Notice the small gap still visible on left side:

Is this normal? Could any Denk owners help me compare to what you see? I don't know if a powerswitch would make the issue harder to see, or if you can pop it off? Hoping to quickly clear this question up before a night of very bad sleep! ;)

No thoughts? Where are those Denk owners?

I was hoping someone could take a quick peek at their Denks, and confirm that this is or isn't normal.

I looked at mine and you can see a similar thing. So nothing to worry about.

Clear skies.

Thanks guys, thats what I had thought. Just wanted to make sure they didn't get dropped, or banged up in shipping! I can't wait to use them, but need to make a decision on a pair on EP's.
Thanks again!

If they got dropped and something was wrong you would know since it would be out of colimation (double image) or cracked.
If the image is good, its' good.
