With the bright moon, I decided see what my little QHY5L-II could do as a planetary camera. I got some good video of the moon, but my main interest was Saturn. Using a 2x Barlow and my Dob mounted on my EQ platform, I captured 200 frames and processed with Registax6. After stacking the best 150 frames, I barely had to touch the wavelet sliders. I have not been able to get this kind of detail using the video mode of my Canon T3i.

Nice Saturn image :), I've only done enough planetary imaging to appreciate the difficulty.

Thanks for the nice comments. I am tempted to get some LRGB filters and a filter wheel now.
