I found this book at the library; "Planetfall - New solar System Visions" A wonderful book, one you want to take time to look and observe and enjoy. BIG photos and some excellent writing combine to make for a book you will come back to again and again. I found myself "examining" rocks on Mars surface, and orienting my mind to clearly understand orientations of saturns rings.

Find yourself some quiet time, some inspirational music, sit down and absorb!!!

Book is about 12" x 15.5"

Very cool sounding. Thanks!

FWIW, I briefly saw at B&N yeaterday a book by Jim Bell called "The Space Book", with pictures and text describing every defining event in astronomy. And it doesn't stop at the present (with the Curiosity rover), but continues to 2015 at Pluto, the near future Mars exploration, the red giant phase of the Sun, the end of the Solar System, the extinction of the stars, and the end of time itself. Very ambitious looking. Big, thick, and heavy. $30 IIRC.
