I used PHD Guiding with my Meade LX200 GPS ... but I just I bought a Skywatcher HEQ5 mount ... do I need new drivers or ASCOM files or anything like that, or should the program still work with the different mount? Thanks

Which guider are you using?
If it has a built-in ST4 port, it should interface with the HEQ5's guider port.
Otherwise you'll need eqmod.

No he will not. At most, if he is guiding over the serial port rather than the autoguide port, he will need the Celestron ASCOM driver, which includes SynScan. ;)

While he may not -need- EQMOD, he could certainly benefit from it. Better yet, with the proper cable (like Shoestring's USB2EQ5 or whatever its called) the hand controller becomes optional.

"Need" and "benefit" are two different things...and not what he was asking. ;)
