I was watching that one on eBay a couple of weeks ago, then all of a sudden, poof! It was gone. Now I know where.

Good job Brian. :waytogo:

i am surprised you did not bite your lip and hit the ebay BIN button.
(know how you feel About Evilbay)
thanks for that. :flower:
:waytogo:

Hi Brian, I am glad you got it and I am doubly glad that it is turning out to be a great scope. I figured it would. You are a true collector. Yes, I did recognize its worth immediately when I saw it listed but I am mostly an observer and I decided a while ago that I will stick with the scopes of my generation more or less, and really try and stick mostly with what I have now. What I do need to do at some point is finish my Jaegers 4 inch F15 now that I finally got the 3 inch Jaegers finished. So that is my priority at this point, evilBay aside.

A nicer guy couldn't have gotten it, really. :flower:

Brian must be loosing his eye sight being glued to the computer monitor catching all these grea deals. For some reason he always seems one step in front of everyone else. Makes me think he has someone on the inside

Congratulations Brian. Those 1920`s B&L refractors have some Zeiss-like characteristics and can be wonderful scopes. I have viewed thru Clint`s 4" Tinsley and if the optics in your B&L perform as well as your Tinsley did, you have a winner.

Enjoy,
Dan

i did some cleanup on this today....lots of nicotine stains
on ota.
i did look with the Plexiglas filters....not filters as they
warp image badly.
cleaned and hand rubbed out ota but left all the knicks
and chips....lots of little cracks in paint but it gives character ..fixed broken stud on the yoke mount.
here are several more pictures just before fireworks started.
viewed a few fireworks with it but went to binoculars
...much easier to navigate.

In all seriousness, it looks like the latch to my gate to my back yard....

That is one fine scope....Congrats on finding that one...all I saw this week was a $10 Jason Model 325. Objective and diagonal were in good shape, but that was about it...
