Hi.

Weather have been totally different from the forecast. Transparency was supposed to be 4/5 the whole day but it was full of thin veil and 1/5. But after my night shift at 7am, I did my full disk in a clearer sky. What a chance because in the afternoon the sky get better but so much turbulent. First time ever I write 1/5 as conditions. I wouldn't be able to do the full disk in these conditions but with real pain and patience, I did these two close up. I got a very bright flare.

Andre.

Great work considering the foul conditions ...

Sounds as if there's a band of nastiness all round , as your description fits what we have had here for 48 hrs.

Thanks guys.

Michel. To make things clear, the view at the eyepiece with conditions at 1/5 doesn't look similar to the sketch. Very blurry and unstable. Dancing image passing from very blurry to somewhat clearer image. But because I'm waiting patiently to get better view between to wave of turbulence, what I put on the paper is not including this turbulence. So the details are rough and not has fine and I can't zoom what make the image even more blurry. Probably lot of fine details are missing because unable to see them.

Under 5/5 conditions, image is so stable and clear, I can easily zoom at 300X and still get the very fine details as seen on real photo. You have seen lot of my sketches done at 4.5 and 5/5 zommed at 300X.

Thanks to both of you guys.

I've been really busy during the weekend. Conditions are exceptionnal, very stable astmosphere.

Andre.
