Dear All.

I am assisting in the repair of a LX 200 16" GPS, I say repair, the RA worm needs adjusting to bring it nearer the RA worm, and it will require the moving of it off the angled pedestal.

There are three large allen bolts and I did not measure them. Does anyone know the size of them?

And a picture inside a LX 16" GPS would be gratefully received. I am going in via the base unit bottom cover.

Kind regards,

Mike MS.

The bolts are 1/2" X 13tpi. Same as the center bolts used to mount the smaller versions in alt/az - but on this model there are three of them replacing the 5/16" (?) bolts used to mount the smaller models to a wedge and there is no threaded hole in the center.

Thank you for the reply.

Sorry, it is the size of the allen key to undo them. The scope is 400 kms from me, so I am trying to avoid my lack of knowledge when I get there.

Kind regards,

Mike.

Thank you.

Yes, I will take all the tools I have, but I think the allen bolts are bigger than the biggest one I have. So I will have to buy some, and as this is a one of visit and job I am trying to buy just the tools needed.

Kind regards,

Mike.

The only ones you need are a 5/16 key and a 3/8 key.

Here's the table of hex key sizes above 1/4", where most kits stop:
