You were right. We had a bit of sunset clouds that made the early evening a bit difficult but the air was steady and quite an improvement. I've been neglecting my poor old 90mm F11 so I took her out for a stroll and snapped a couple of quick prime focus shots of the Moon before the sky was dark and the clouds had really cleared.

It was exceptionally clear my locale last night. I could see a pattern of rays of sunlight all along the western horizon for about an hour after sunset. Normally it's just reddish haze.

I got clouded out . It was off and on then a big front moved in and it was predominantly cloudy. Even tonight the haze is too substantial. When the moon looks Gaussian its a nogo for me.
