A sketch from two weeks ago in lightpolluted area. UHC boosted the contrast but made no new details visible (which couldn't be seen without filter).

It's a nice sketch, anyway, Jef. Not bad, really. You're out observing, that's what counts. I just moved from a grey zone to a yellow/green zone.

I shudder to think what my skies will be like in comparison. Your observation revives some hope for deep sky. But, as long as the seeing remains good, I can do planets and doubles.

Really nice. I admire the observation. I saw the ring a few weeks ago in my 72mm. Not quite as impressive but still beautiful. Great sketch.
