Glad you like your platform and even more glad you actually achieved the feat of attaining one. Apparently there is zero contact information or order information on his website and it merely said to keep an eye out for his "adds" . I was going to send this man a check until I realized he obviously didn't want my money. A far far better choice and certainly on customer service, if not fit and finish is Ed Jones. He actually doesn't hide from potential customers.

The owner of Atomic originally was selling at a faster rate with contact information, etc. But he could not keep up with the pace. He is still doing some when he can and putting them up for sale on CN. He is a younger guy with a demanding job and young family.

I have had an Atomic for a couple of years now and would recommend them. Another minus is that wheelbarrow-style transport for dobs doesn't work with the equatorial table. But a BIG plus is that narrow field eyepieces like the TMB supermonos are more useable on a dob.

Stan, thank you for a very interesting review. I Like Pete, I tried to track down and purchase an Atomic. Mike, I apprciate your comments.

I just got an "Alien Platform" for my XT8i but the weather hasn't been kind.

Hope to offer some comments on the Alien soon.

Clears skies guys!

The design is great and the website is just fine, but the inability to place orders is severely limiting.

Thanks for the review and nicely done. I'd love to order or purchase one but I never come across an ad. I'd love to use his for sketching. Sigh. I love his natural wood model. Perhaps I'll get lucky one day. It's a credit to the build and his product that people would like to order. So well done to both therev

Yep, I missed that one. Too busy with work and stuff I guess. Darn. Maybe he'll get another up soon.
