Hi my NexStar friends, I just wanted to share with you guys since I have gotten my 6se I finally got a nice AP setup using my 6se OTA. I tried doing some AP with my SE mount, it was ok but not to my liking. I have seen some nice images from the SE though. I just wanted a lot more out of it, doing all the upgrades didn't even kill my wallet especially already having a OTA. I did get a used mount to also help save some money. Everything else is new but it was all still fairly cheap. I hope to have some images to share with you guys soon. I posted some photos of my setup here http://www.cloudynig...5998884/page... if you would like to see, just trying to help space on CNs so I'm not posting the same photos here and there lol.

Right on man. Be sure to post your experiences (both good and bad) so folks can learn, help, and otherwise share in the fun!

My Hyperstar setup arrives this week, so I know how you feel about getting a fresh AP set up!

Thank you guys. :) yes I will share good and bad. I know this mount is not the greatest for guiding, I hope to get those kinks worked out. I think this is a good and fairly cheap way to get my feet wet. If I enjoy it, I will get a nice refractor and a better mount down the road. To be honest if I didn't get this mount at a good price, I probably wouldn't have tried. I have always been a visual observer, and I still will be. The thing that really made me also jump in is the use of programs like BackYardEOS. I like the idea after getting everything setup, settings, framed and guiding and pressing enter and walk away. This will give me the time to look through my Dob which I really like doing.
