So I was up by Rockland Community College yesterday (work related) and got to thinking about NEAF 2014. I know it's 9 months away, but is anything being planned yet?
Never been to NEAF yet, life keeps getting in the way. Hope to make it next year! Not a bad drive for me, I get up that way every few months.
What are everyone else's plans?

I think the date is still just 'April 2014', with no particular weekend set yet. Hard to make reservations!

I'm getting very interested in the associated astrophoto workshops...

Looks like another plan blown to bits! :(
My niece's wedding! :jump: And I'm invited! :p
I'm VERY happy for her! She's worth missing NEAF for the 10,000th time!
If the folks who run NEAF ever post the dates, there may be a chance I COULD go! As long as it doesn't conflict with "real life".

Brian, if you interest is in astro imaging then you should consider going to NEAIC the two day before NEAF.

Bob,

Can you get someone to update the website to confirm the dates?

I went in 2012. Great experience. Plan was, again, to drive from the Midwest in 2014 (easy drive: onto expressway 5 miles from home, no stop lights, exit just outside Suffern). But mid-April may make it harder. Why the earlier date?

I've returned to astronomy after many years away. NEAF and NEAIC were both great total immersion ways to get back in. And both are great Toys-R-Us experiences for the astro-equipment junkie.

THE DATES ARE RIGHT, I run NEAIC, the dates for the are the 10/11. The web will start to be up dated after the first of the year. If you have questions PM me.

OUCH!! A week before my niece's wedding! And I was up near there today! If there's any way for me to make it I'll be there. But no way will I skip the wedding! She's my only niece.

I hope you can make it, but life happens.

I used to go every year, but missed the past couple of NEAFs (serious illness and surgery). I have another surgery scheduled in February, but I should be okay to go this year. :fingerscrossed:

NEAF is always on my calendar.
