My GGEM mount is installed on a pier in my back yard, where most of the western sky is blocked by tall trees. When I attempt to do a 2-star alignment on an August evening, most of the stars that appear on the list are west of the meridian. There is a letter "W" on the right side of the LCD display, which I'm guessing means "West"? I have great views of stars to the east and south (Altair, Deneb, Alpharatz, etc.) -- but these stars do not show in the list, which often makes it impossible to do an alignment! How do I see the full list of alignment stars?

Press menu, it will toggle the selection of the alignment stars from W to E and back again.

Page 19 in the manual for more info.

Thanks, Mark!! Moments ago I spotted that in the manual. Duh, I was reading the main body of text over and over again, while ignoring the separate text box titled "East/West Filtering". Wasted our only clear Seattle night this month because I failed to read the manual properly. No worries, we'll get another clear night within a year.
