Hi everyone,

I never thought of sharing this with you guys, it hit me today :) Anyhow I recently painted my daughters room, it was a lot of fun and messy LOL. It took me about 3 days to finish it. This was all done with Spray Paint and 5% with brushes. I made stencils and a lot of torn pieces of paper for the effects. I had to mask off the whole room, paint clouds where everywhere and all over me, that was fun.

There is glow in the dark paint added to this as well, I mounted some black lights and it picks it up pretty cool.
She wanted some planets and stars hanging, I was going to leave it as is, but we added them for her. :)

I never did a space theme before or paint on a ceiling LOL, this was a little hard with a spray can's.

Oh by the way I used to be a graffiti artist so I know how to use a spray can LOL ;)

Ok here is a full shot, I had to use my 8mm fisheye to get it all to fit. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

For me, as a kid in the 60's with a budding interest in all things Astronomy, I would have loved such a room. Black light and glow in the dark? Yea, very 60's...

Well done, sir. I imagine she loves her room.

Very cool!!! I'd have loved this as a kid! There's so much to discover in that ceiling that your daughter will definitely fall asleep very easily. Apart from a great artist, you're also a wonderful dad. :D

Spectacular! How about doing the walls, for a more 'you are there' effect?

It is stunning~~~!!! I hope she likes it.

You have excellent talent.

Thank you guys. :)

I was going to do a full room painting, maybe I will do it later. But at least the sky is there, so if I do maybe I will bring it down more depending what she wants.

That is funny about the Death Star, I went to go buy that smoke alarm so she would have a new one. When I seen it, I thought Moon or Death Star. I just added glow in the dark paint to it for now.

I bought some satellites and a space shuttle just haven't put them up yet. I did get this little cool light projector that puts shooting stars on the ceiling. :)

What a great gift of wonder you have given your child. I hope there is some way to enter this into the Astronomy Magazines as an article. It might inspire a whole new industry of home decore.
