Here is M20 and its attendant dark lane Barnard 85. Last time I did this was in 2005, so I was due for an update. I took Ha data, but truth be told, I only used it to enhance detail and contrast on the luminance channel in the emission portion of the Trifid. I also used it for smaller star sizes on the bright stars. Image and details are here:

Very nice detail in the dark lane Jim. Gotta love the contrast and depth in M20.

I'm looking into a higher focal length scope, how are you liking the Edge? Much, if any mirror flop?

Thanks folks for the kind comments.

Thanks Ed,
I am pretty happy with my Edge. I am glad I got the 9.25. I travel to my dark site and set up each session and the OTA weight is just fine for me. The Edge OTA has a primary mirror lock that works well for me. I have had it in several sky positions imaging past the meridian and no issues. I guide with a separate guide scope and this FL requires some care in the guide scope mounting. At first I didn't have it right but was able to troubleshoot the issues and make adjustments. With lack of flop and good guiding, I have pretty accurate tracking now for hours at a time.

Very well processed. Not often you see the third star in its core. Most of the time even the two brighter are just a blob.

I'd not heard reports on its mirror lock before. Sounds like it works very well.

Yet another below my southern limit.
