Has anyone used Nikon 180ED at f2.8 and f4 and compared its sharpness?
Perhaps in a narrowband setting?

Thanks Andy..of course I read this before I bought the lens.....
perhaps someone has a more direct experience about some issues at f2.8...curvature, chromatic aberration etc..

Since you already have the lens, you should do some testing yourself. My experience, the lens is decent wide open, better stopped down. Depends on your tolerance too for optical defects.
