The North America Nebula (NGC 7000 and Caldwell 20) and the Pelican Nebula (IC 5070 and IC 5067) are both large emission nebulas located between 1,600 and 1,800 light-years away in Cygnus. They are collectively designated as Sharpless 117.

Top Left

Ha – 9x1800s – 270 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

Top Right / Bottom Left / Bottom Right

Ha – 10x1800s – 300 minutes each – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

1650 minutes total exposure – 27 hours 30 minutes

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri over eleven nights in May, June and July, 2013 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.

Wow, awesome image and well done indeed. You should try SH2-119 right next door. It is over looked because of this one

I really appreciate you looking. I make extensive use of your site and it is probably what pushed me into shooting sharpless objects.

I think Sh2-119 might be a little too large for my field of view. I'm not sure that I'm up for another four panel mosaic. :)
