Would the cgem dx be able to handle this scope?

Yes, it will work fine for two reasons: the weight of the scope is 21.6 lbs, plus around 9 lbs of astroimaging gear, then you are around 30 lbs. Your mount can carry 50, so...

Second reason, you'll be working at 800mm, it's very easy to work at that FL.

Hope you share your first astroimages. :jump:

Yup. I didn't like mine on my CGEM but the DX should be hefty enough bits really not that big of a scope.

Yes, it will be OK. If you're having tracking problems you can use a slim OAG. Be careful with your balance. I have an EM200 with an Orion XT10 OTA + astroaccesories and it performs very well.
