I'm new to GoTo mounts. I have been trying to enter my latt and longitude with little luck. I have an app that tells me my exact lat and longitude.
Example:
Lat:36.334505 Long: -86.5427592

However, I cannot enter a negative into the hand controller for the longitude. What am I supposed to do to fix this?

When I started mine up I just went to the city data base and it did it for me. Have you done this?

I think you enter a positive number and then it asks if you are East or West.

I also think it will want degrees, minutes, and seconds.

36.3345050° = 36° 20' 04"
86.5427592° = 86° 32' 34"

I did try this but the nearest city is probably 50 miles away.

Stupid question, but how do I know if I'm east or west?

Negative numbers are West. Tennessee is West.

Ok. I'll try it again tonight! It's been 9's and 10's here every night this week! (Android accuweather astronomy app)
