I checked out the location on Google Earth, and it's identifiable there. It must have been quite a hot spot, and much further to the east when it was created. It's interesting to think that at the time of its formation it might have poked its top above sea level. Not only erosion has occurred since, but the sea floor has undoubtedly sunk under the weight of the massif as well as in response to cooling of the crust below it.

Olympus Mons is taller at 14 miles high. ;)
