After I have posted my image of the Iris Nebula in the August DSLR Challenge, I was not really satisfied with the image. So I have shot about 5 hours additional data and tried to reprocess the image. Here is the result:

About 15 hours exposure time
Canon 6D unmodified
ASA 10" Astrograph, 3" Wynne Correktor
ASA DDM60 Mount, no guiding

That is the best DSLR Iris I have seen. One to be proud of for sure. Thanks for posting it!

You've taken a great image and made it even better, Tommy - the "chocolate" dust looks excellent. Congrats on stepping it up another notch!

I'm sorry Thomas but IMHO I think you have exagerated a bit on this one....you exagerated on the sheer magnitude of Awesomeness on this image!!!!! :D
In fact you "exagerate" on ALL your images, this is THE BEST DSLR Iris image I have seen so far...period!

You have a big fan here ;)

Please do keep on stunnig us,

Best wishes,

Luís Campos
