This area deserves much more time than I could give it last night but here is a quick sketch of the Mersenius area done on black sketch paper with black and white Conte pencils and crayons. Omni 120 refractor with a 5 mm Plossl (200x ). Transparency was good, seeing poor. Sketch is mirror reversed.

Beautiful sketch of Mersenius and you also captured Liebig, named after the spontaneous generation promoting chemist.

Thanks Frank...Liebig is also considered "the father" of the English food product called Marmite, since he discovered that yeast could be concentrated. People either love or hate Marmite.

Very fine sketch. I love especially the bright highlights, I never saw such a luminescent sketch.
