More images to follow when finished this week
This is an 80mm ED doublet with 60mm f5 finder, both collimateable with 6x 30 finder.
It is a proto-type for the coming range of doublets and triplets for imaging as well as for visual use.
Thanks, Mark.

Here is the nearly finished proto-type imaging set up for a small 80ED imaging scope rig. This is a concept design {mini flight of fancy} and one I'll be testing at Sixpenny Handley Star Party at the end of the month. A new range of telescopes will be coming to earth soon based on this concept, {perhaps they won't be so OTT} and they will all feature as upgrades 2" & 2.5" moonlite focusers which are being exclusively prepared for Moonraker Telescopes. More news as the next 104 triplet prototype is nearing completion. Dark Matter is coming.....................Just over the event horizon.............

Final image, on the mount and ready for action. Please let me know if you are interested in a unique custom build around your own optics, or if you would like any of the existing Moonraker range modified to your specifications.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you for all the people who contacted me directly regarding this concept. It was my scope, now it's sold :bawling:, but at least I get to test it more at the show for the new owner. A bigger version is already in the pipe line. :jump:

Thanks,
Mark.

Here is the first image taken last week.
Only 40mins exposure consisting of 30sec, 1.30mins and 3mins.
Bundled together in DSS and stretched in Photoshop
Shot with an un-modified Nikon D7000.
Shot at about 12pm when Pleiades was still low in the East.
The proto type seems to be working well, baring in mind the kit attached and the short exposure time. So the only way is Up and more data and a dedicated camera.

And good old M31, similar exposure but a few 5min's. Darks were not perfect, but it's an experiment in progress and bodes well for the designs of the triplets coming soon
