Since the starsence has an issue with CGEM mounts. Celestron is sending out a spliter to connect into the guiding port for CGEM mounts. I wonder since the CG5 mount doesn't have an aux port if the spliter will work?

I believe you'll find this goes into the HC port, which is the same as the Aux port. The guide port is an entirely different thing.

The AUX port and the autoguiding port on Celestron mounts are two totally different things and are in no way electrically compatible.
