I revisited this favorite after several years with my 18" Obsession. Although very low in the sky (about 14 degrees at culmination) it showed an unprecedented amount of detail that glued me to the eyepiece and sketchpad, enjoying every second of it! A maelstrom of bright and dark patches and swirls, that extend throughout its main bulge, make this galaxy a treasure for the eyes!

Very nice! This galaxy is very low where I live and hard to see at all due to the muck that usually is present near the horizon. I like how you represented the chaotic structure in this irregular galaxy that actually is among the closest systems to us beyond the Local Group.
