I have SkySafari3 on an iPad, and yesterday the "Orbit Mode" went haywire.

I have no use for Orbit Mode, it is a toy feature irrelevant to observing, and I have always been annoyed with having the button that activates it front and center in the control ribbon where it can be easily and accidentally activated. If an option to lock it out and remove the button existed I would do it in an instant.

Last night SkySafari started going into Orbit Mode automatically, and staying there. If I hit the Orbit Button to shut it off, it dims for a moment and then lights back up and the app is still in Orbit Mode, essentially the entire application is disabled - none of the controls I want are available.

Shutting the iPad down entirely did not fix the problem.

What to do?

Carey, there is an icon just above and between 'time' & 'scope'. this is the unlabeled 'home' button, press it to get out of orbit.
