Just a small sketch. I observed the eclipse with naked eye. The view through my 8 cm Apo does not show any changing of the brightness, the naked eye view did. I was lucky that the shadow hit the lesser structured southern part of the moon.

That is great you got to see the subtle reduction in brightness. Sometimes little or no magnification can be best.
