i prefert to change with the new ME2.
Here the two mounts in my house :

Friday night, the weather was good, i go to my observatory to install the mount.
Posted Image

lot of wire inside the mount
- 4 USB (two include on the mount)
- 4 power
Posted Image

after hours works, the wires are all in the pass

i remake the wire couple for the CCD/Focuser and use Mount Port pour power 12V (external power unit) :

The setup is ready to do the TPOINT

First feeling is good, i see no flexure on a flip, after 3 Tpoint the polar align was perfect and i can do tpoint with 200 starq.

Next good night , i have to do the PEC and i can start the first light with this mount.

i will give you news

my main problem with the ME1 is the guiding on the RA axis is approximately good, but not perfect, with the RA worm block, you have to unblock a litle, but near meridian , it's too much, and the guiding was not perfect. I live 40km from my observatory, i control it in remote, so during night , lot of picture was bad. During august and september , i try to improve, change with slight imbalance RA or more.

I put the mount ME1 for sales on forum, it's was sales ten minutes after.

The ME2, the RA/DEC worm block is ,not a nuts but a switch. With 72 kg it's perfect, it's a very good improvement.

Charles, when someone ask me how many money for my observatory , i say that in each year, i use less money for astronomy material, than one seller in my compagny use for his cigarettes ....
