It would be fun to have a challenge list of central stars in planetary nebulae from "easy" to retina-busting. I've gotten 57's and 27's. Those are the only two I've tried.

You can, for example, download Wolfgang Steinicke's "Revised New General Catalogue and Index Catalogue" (http://www.klima-luf...cic/ngcic_e.htm) that contains all IC and NGC planetaries and arrange the Excel columns as you see fit (by name, by type, by central star magnitude etc.). At least this way you have all the NGC & IC planetaries with up-to-date data on your hands.

I have something similar to my personal use but magnitudes haven't been updated in a while:

Try Doug Snyder's Planetary Nebula Observers Home page:

http://www.blackskies.org/

It has all the data on them plus observation reports. Clear skies to you.
