Have you ever seen a pattern of stars and named your own constellation? We do that exercise with children and teachers. On these 2 successive evenings we were observing by ourselves, however, and named a common object the way most people name an object: it reminds them of something. The lates blog post (address under my signature) has the story and color sketches that relate to NGC 246. There is religious content.

Thanks, Frank. After a long hard time in med things, she was able to observe 5 nights in a row and sketch 3 of those nights. This is one of the pairs that we did.

Thanks, Tom and Ken. Now looking at our paired sketches of 7009, which we also caught in color. Hope to have them up in a couple days.
