I have a CPC 1100 but is really hard to handle so I'm wondering if I can remove the optical tube and mount it on a equatorial computerized goto mount like the CGEM DX or other?
Any recommendations please.. :bawling:

Welcome to Cloudy Nights! Many fork mounted SCs have made their way onto GEMs. For the 11" Celestron visually, I'd say that the Atlas would be about the lower limit. For imaging, the DX would be pretty much minimum. For overall performance, I'd look at a Losmandy G11 or a Celestron CGE (used market).

If you want to spend a lot more money, a used AP 900 or a Tak NJP would be terrific!
