Well, I finally added to my Questar collection - picked up a Q7 Astro OTA from a real gentleman, thank you Les. It is a really beauty - I hope to make first light tonight. I primarily focus on CCD imaging with my Planewave 12.5 CDK, but I miss the occasional visual observing of the moon, planets, and some DSO's. I have it mounted on a Celestron AVX mount - it barely handles the 20lbs of the Q7. I must say, it is a real work of optical and mechanical craftsmanship. I am interested to see how it compares with previous views from my 130 and 152 refractors. Now I just need some clear skies...

Jason

And here's what I traded my Q7 for - Jason's AstroTrac wedge. I know a good deal when I see one  My Q50th has a new perch.
