I am wondering about the Meade Starfinder DC motor system.
My motor makes a sound like it is turning at sidereal speed, I see the encoder disk move a little, and then the motor pauses for about 1/10 of a second. So it turns 2 seconds, the encoder disk moves a little, and then it pauses for 1/10th of a second, and so on. Is this normal? I was just wondering, because I would like to have any problems solved before I take it out and view this week. Would anyone happen to have by chance a DC starfinder with the upgraded board they might be able to switch on an listen to?
I would greatly appreciate to hear how other starfinders sound.

-Thank you in advance.
