I wanted to mentally attempt to match a 2" focuser to my ETX 60. Would that even be possible or beneficial? Basically would use just the OTA (cut as required) and Frankenstein some focuser. This would probably be more ATM/DIY than some upgrade. Has this been done? If so, pictures would be nice. Anything to improve the focuser.

Well since the ETX 60 is a refractor and not a Mak like the 90mm & up models, I guess you could try to physically mod something in place. But what real gain would you benefit by it? The focusing on those 60/70/80 models is lousy at best because it racks part of the optical tube, rather than an actual eyepiece tube.

what about a Fireball 1.5" to 2" adapter. I use one on my ETX 125.
