Just got Stellarium to slew my Nexstar 11 GPS using my MacBook. It took a few tries with different drivers to get it to work on my 10.8.5 version of OSX. I bought a cheap PL2303 USB to RS232 clone from eBay and it has some hang-up issues with slewing but when can be worked with if you disconnect and connect in the telescope plug-in portion of the software. I really like using Stellarium so I can find what faint fuzzies are nearby. Its nice to see what NGC/IC objects are nearby because not a lot of people image these objects as compared to some of the more popular objects.

Now, all I have to do is convince the wife that building an observatory in the backyard will actually save time...

How accurate is Stellarium in directing the slewing?
