Well, I expected to see something here. Nothing yet. . . so let me go first.

A-P emailed me today for balance payment and shipping arrangements. My AP1100 will ship in "the next few weeks." :jump: :jump: :jump:

Congrats Terry. You must have been the first to order. I am also in notification list for the first run but I must have signed up a little late (8/26/2013). I wish the delivery was sometime early summer when the weather is warmer. It's getting cold here and it's not going to be fun learning how to handle the new mount while freezing my butt outside. :coldday:

Hi to both Peters:

I really don't recall the date I "officially" went on the list. I talked to AP in March trying to decide on an off-the-shelf Mach 1 or to wait for the 900 replacement. It was perhaps late March or early April I decided to wait for the new mount and pass on a Mach 1. At that time, there was no list specific to the 1100 and I was told to put my name on the 900 list, which I did.

So, maybe I am first? Dunn'o. Part of the reason for my post was to find out if any other CN'ers were notified yesterday too. So far, it seems no.

Still no firm ship date. Only "within the next few weeks."

Will the new AP be going on your new pier?

Look forward to pictures of your new mount. :D

Hi Linda and Mark:

Yes, it will indeed be going on the new pier which continues to cure out there. If I get a little luck weather-wise, I might even have a functioning observatory for it by the time it arrives.

I will be sure to take some pics.

I'd still like to hear some others get notices soon too though.

If this is your first AP mount...

You'll soon wonder why you waited as long as you did. Gone will be those "issues" that distracted you from observing before.

Awesome!

I was in your place at this time last year, when I was notified that my AP1600 would be shipping. So far, it's been everything that I'd hoped it would be and more. The AP1100 looks to be everything that the 1600 is, just a little smaller. You guys are going to love it!

I only ordered mine in early September and won't get it or the pier until January. Not so cold here in SoCal so I'm hopeful of doing some work with it despite the season. I am envious of you guys who ordered early. Will be interested is seeing what if any barriers you find to getting it going.

Curious what pier are you guys going to use.
Will the 6" Eagle Adjustable Folding Pier too small for 1100 ?

Portable here too. No it needs the 8" pier. I bought that already from AP and I put it on a JMI wheely bar setup.
