Does anyone use or know anything about this mount? I see one review from 03 and thats about all I can find...not even sure if it is available anymore. OPT shows it as wait listed?

Yes, I have seen one used by a guest on Kitt Peak. I remember it being nice but small. Fit and finish was good and it was a perfect match for the Borg refractor used with it. I wouldn't put anything bigger than a 70mm scope on it though.

Sure it's still around, check with Hutech directly ... iirc it was even on amazon's website via 3rd party seller (some Japan shop), listed as available and shipping. There are a couple of members on CL that have posted their setup with the mount (placing Tak 60's and Borg scopes on it); pic below is my sister's setup, the slow-mo of the mount helps with precise pointing, and it's way lighter than a 410 head. Note that the saddle is narrower than your standard vixen dovetail, and you either have to change out the saddle or get the narrow plates. For visual, paired with the Borg 71FL and this setup makes for a nice portable tracking mount.

It is still on the Hutech website as being available for sale:

Hutech used to off the Kenko SkyMemo mount also, but I don't find it listed anymore:

Hope that helps...Paul

There is also the Kenko KDS alt-az mount which is like the Borg mount but beefier. I don't know if Hutech are carrying Kenko any longer as it and the SkyMemo aren't on their price list.

Both the Borg AltAz mount and Kenko AltAz mount appear to use the same slow motion control parts.
Shown here is my Kenko KDS I AltAz mount with a homemade 72 mm f/6 refractor.
