Looking to compare these two amazing telescopes side by side real soon. I have the Questar Seven right now fully mounted in its portable table top legs and the Astrophysics 130 EDFS Gran Turismo on a Discmounts DM-6. Might see also how the 3 1/2 compares as well. Still love my little Questar Standard as the best ever and most used!

I did a similar comparison between my A-P EDFS 130 f/6 and Questar 7 P/BB some 5 years ago. Look forward to your findings.

It has nearly finished cooling down.

I would really like to know how much the new titanium model decreases cool down time over the older Q7. Eric posted some very insightful comments on the cool down times and general atmospheric stability. With the steep atmospheric cooling after dark we can get here in the U.K. it is an issue that needs to be considered carefully.

I would think a call to Questar could be the best source for this information, unless you could do a side by side comparison one night. Unfortunately, that opportunity would seem remote, as Q7's are few and far between.
