Hello all

At work, we are about to make a 1/3 scale model of a Proton M rocket for a museum. 1/3 scale is very big by the way!
We have plenty of photos from Google, and a few diagrams from books, these have given us aproximate dimensions and shapes etc, but we are really struggling to find any Hi res photos which will tell us about the surface finish on the rocket. Ie how is it clad? is it riveted? welded? glued? etc.
Now I realise that taking hi res photos of a russian rocket isnt very easy, but I can't help but think that someone must know where I can get some, or even have some that they took once?

can anyone help me please?

thanks

Try a goggle search for 'proton M rocket' then in the corner click image.
You should basically get many if not all of the photos out there.
You'll have to look through them but there may be something there useful you.

I'll give my brother a shout to see who his boss would talk to.

https://www.facebook.com/ProachModels

He may have DONE one at some point in his career.

PS I just called him as a mutual friend is celebrating her birthday today and asked.

He has done a model of one before so Vik will make an inquiry
