Sheerly by chance, while observing the moon tonight noticed a fairly bright star close to the shadowed side limb. Grabbed a few captures only to document the occultation, not to discuss image technique per forum rules.

Ran Stellarium to find out what star? Found it to be HIP 114864 (HD 219461), a 6.9 magnitude star in Pisces. Occultation started at 18:10 PST and ended 19:17 PST.

Anybody else catch this?

Rob
