Hi guys, here is my first 2014 Jupiter's image....and is one of my best. Channel R is very good, while G and B not at the same level. But it's going well ...
Newton 400 self build with Hubble optics mirrors, asi 120mm , barlow 3x plus adapter, seeing very unstable but sometimes fair or good.
Here is channel R:

Yes it is not a pure RGB....due to my problem with filters. I have used a luminance with R band and L (unfiltered)
The raw ? Send me a mail and i will send you....

Sorry it was a mistake on the keyboard....thanks for the warning. I have problems with filter G and B...they are very similar, too close, almost identical. I don't know why....but it give me a problem when i merge the channels. Send me a mail for the raw, i will send.
But if G and B are not at the same level of R there is a simple possible reason: seeing not too good. So i am very pleased to have obtained this image with a "not too good seeing". It means that when i will find a better seeing , i will probabily have a even better image. Don't you know?

I see .....but i don't understand....You are saying that i was trying to trick? Why? I am very unpleased of your insinuation. But if you still have some doubt here you can see my last R channel :
http://www.cloudynig...6303904/page...
When i process them, i will post also channel G and B. You will see they are very close, due to the problem i was telling. In order to avoid arguments or unnecessary and sterile discussions you can make your own RGB , LRGB , RRGB ,BRGB or whatsoever you prefer.
cheers
Ema

Thanks a lot to you for the sweet comment, you are too good.
I think the image is good, but i think is possible to get to even better results for a 16" ( look at the spectacular Emil's images....the best i have seen in these last 2-3 opposition!! ).
Cheers
Emanuele

Ema, this image is among those of the highest resolution. More important is was obtained within a very low cost scope! Maybe, that is why somebody seems to be nervous and looking for some non-existing pitfall.

Brilliant image Emma, excellent detail in there!
Referring to the images of Emil, he has the special
optics of Rik ter Horst.
You have done a perfect job with the Hubble optics!!
