well I just put together my new AVx mount and of course it's cloudy here in Arizona for the first time in months.I noticed on the bottom of the hand controller where there is a AccessPORT for an RS 232 jack there is quite an opening is there a plastic cover that should slide in there to protect the terminals ?I'll try to attach a picture of my question.

There's no cover that goes there, at least not any that's supplied from the factory. All the Celestron controllers are like that.
