hi all,

Finally, good seeing !
In that night I observed primary NGC objects, but as I loked at Jupiter I saw the beginning of the shadow transit ( Europa II) !
Clear that I made a sketch. With 16" Jupiter was very bright, and the colour were at home...
So I saw not the finest contrast differences.
Interesting was the line between NEB-NTB it was very low in contrast. Most CCD images show not this belt.

2.2.14, 21:20 UT
16" Pegasus f/4.5, V 200x
I 137° II 86°

Bye
Christian

Christian, judging from the huge NEB rift, it looks as though we observed the same CM.

I wanted to say I caught that festoon splitting like that. I sketched it as such, but didn't include it in the final rendering as being too fleeting. Darn it, missed that one.

Well done, sir.

Good sketch of Jupiter. The rift in the NEB is huge! Many belts seen in your sketch.

Thanks for posting. Dean
