Been crazy lately. I'll be back to comment on everyone's great work here. Just wanted to throw this one up while I had a minute. I'm pretty excited because I feel like I've finally come up with a repeatable style for white light solar that I am happy with. This was a quick detail study of the largest region of 1967, and wow it was quite awesome to see in person...finally! Design markers only: Warm black, 50% Warm Gray, 30% Warm Gray. Done on Strathmore 400 paper. 20% opacity granulation layer added in PhotoShop, just for added dimension.

Okay, I see a lady riding a horse! Holy cow, that's one heck of an ink blot, Jason.

Must have been an amazing view.

Jason,

This looks terrific, the media you are using gives a kind of watercolor appearance to the final sketch. I like it.

Ken, Norme, Tom, Frank, thank you all very much.

Norme, I've always had a touch of Peter Venkman in me.

Frank, thanks for acknowledging the media. I went through a heavy permanent ink phase in my college years. I agree that they give a very strong "water color" appearance.

Maybe Photobucket was down when you were looking, or your network won't allow that site. No worries. Here's an attachment.

My pleasure, Uwe. I am fast becoming addicted to white light solar observing. Perhaps a solar wedge is in my future...
